Julie Miller is a Critics' Choice and Webby Award nominated comedy director and writer. Her critically acclaimed special for Peacock, Good Timing with Jo Firestone, paired comedian Jo Firestone with sixteen senior citizens pursuing stand-up comedy for the first time. Julie created and directed Facebook Watch’s first late night sketch/talk show, After After Party, hosted by Sonia Denis (Marvel's Ironheart) featuring regular players Bowen Yang, Matt Rogers and Janelle James.

In 2016, Julie created RIOT, Refinery29’s comedy arm, to identify, support and amplify diverse female writers, directors and performers. That same year, she sold her first pilot to Comedy Central, Storytime hosted by Nicole Byer, based on Julie's co-created Above Average digital series. As creative director of RIOT from 2016-2019, Julie produced 3 television pilots, 14 digital series, and secured a partnership with TBS. RIOT featured series from Aparna Nancherla, Jo Firestone, Phoebe Robinson, Jacqueline Novak and John Early, and was repeatedly lauded by Decider for producing some of the internet's best comedy content.

Julie began her career as an intern at Saturday Night Live. She has written, directed and executive produced specials for Comedy Central, Adult Swim, VICE, TBS and MTV. She continues to thrive in Fort Greene, Brooklyn where she runs Delicate Plumbing, her production company.
